Plans have been made and are ready to be set in motion.
I will be flying out of Canada on the 1st of May, praying the entire time that nothing goes wrong like last time. All of my paper work is in order, and there should be no problem with getting my student visa at the border, again said with prayer that the border officers like me this time.
After a week in Texas, getting settled in and starting my new job in the office there, I will fly off to Michigan for my best friends wedding. Which reminds me that I still need to work on my speech and figure something fantastically fun for a bachelorette party, (any suggestions are gladly accepted.)
On the 15th, I fly back down to Texas and dive right back into trying to balance full time work and full time college. It should be quite a challenge, but I think I'm up for it. For me, it's better to be so busy that you don't notice when your social life dies haha.
I'm apprehensive about life at the base. I feel like after two years of doing my own thing, living roommate-less, making my own schedule, it might take some tweaking to adjust my mind back to the YWAM style. But, heaven knows I'm used to having to tweak my way of thinking by now.
May 24th is my birthday! Happy 21st to me. I still don't like the idea of me getting older, but there's nothing I can do about that, believe me I've looked into it.
The last event in May is staff conference for YWAM in the US. I'm really excited, as this will be my first conference as a staff member. It is also YWAM's 50th anniversary, and in celebration of that, this conference is also a reunion inviting all alumni to come. It should be a lot of fun and a good time for me meet and greet with YWAMers from all over the united states.
If you want to pray for me, pray that my stress level goes down, my faith level goes up and that I manage to pull off what looks like one of the busiest months I've ever experienced.
Much Love
Alex
The name fits I think. It took me a little while to find a name that would suit my newsletter and blog. I finally got "Traveling Feet" and fell in love with it.
Not only does the name give me an opportunity to share my travels, experiences and where my feet have taken me, but to talk about the footsteps that I follow.
The one who lived out what He taught, instead of just preaching. It meant not always having shoes or even a place to wash His feet, but it also meant being with the people. Living. Eating. Singing. Crying. Working. With them. Alongside them. As one of them.
Not standing on a podium. Not telling them what to do, how to live, but showing them.
If you would like to contact me please feel free to send me an email and I will respond as soon as possible!
