Dearest Friends,
So sorry that this update has taken so long. Everything has taken a little bit of time to sort of figure itself out, so I wasn't 100% sure what was happening until recently.
In January I was supposed to move down to the YWAM base in Texas. My commitment was for a year, and I expected to be there until next Christmas. Unfortunately, there were issues at the border, and the US government chose not to let me into the country. It was completely unexpected, and although I don't want to say that they were wrong in not letting me in, I don't think that they had legal reasons for doing it. It took me a few days to recuperate from that, as it was very shocking and left me feeling as though what I'm doing is wrong in some way. But with time and a lot of talking it through with my friends, I came to the conclusion that things like this are not always God's way of stopping us, but sometimes are attacks that we need to push through.
So as of right now the plan is that I am enrolling with Ecclesia college. They are a very good Bible College in the states. They are going to let me be a full time student and supply me with a student visa to live in the states while doing my schooling. The great thing is that I can be a full time student online, thus will still be able to go and live on the base in Texas.
That's the plan. Right now I'm just having to do a lot of paper work and logistical stuff. Hopefully it won't take to long, and I'm hoping to leave as soon as possible.
The name fits I think. It took me a little while to find a name that would suit my newsletter and blog. I finally got "Traveling Feet" and fell in love with it.
Not only does the name give me an opportunity to share my travels, experiences and where my feet have taken me, but to talk about the footsteps that I follow.
The one who lived out what He taught, instead of just preaching. It meant not always having shoes or even a place to wash His feet, but it also meant being with the people. Living. Eating. Singing. Crying. Working. With them. Alongside them. As one of them.
Not standing on a podium. Not telling them what to do, how to live, but showing them.
If you would like to contact me please feel free to send me an email and I will respond as soon as possible!
