Here it comes. The end of May. Also the end of a ridiculously busy month. I can't say that I didn't love it, but I am very excited for things to slow down.
Yesterday was my birthday, which was fantastic thanks to everyone who went out of their way to make me feel loved. My friends are dear, and I love them very much.
Today is Tuesday, and following in the tradition of me traveling every weekend in May, I'm off on Friday for Dallas. This weekend is the YWAM Tyler Staff Conference, which means all staff from this base and a lot of other American bases come together to... well... I'm not exactly sure what goes on, because this will be my first.
As far as work goes, it is a little slow right now, as there is a school finishing up. But there is a new DTS in June, and SSTs will be starting soon, so the admissions department will start speeding up early next month.
That's all for now.
Much Love,
Alex
The name fits I think. It took me a little while to find a name that would suit my newsletter and blog. I finally got "Traveling Feet" and fell in love with it.
Not only does the name give me an opportunity to share my travels, experiences and where my feet have taken me, but to talk about the footsteps that I follow.
The one who lived out what He taught, instead of just preaching. It meant not always having shoes or even a place to wash His feet, but it also meant being with the people. Living. Eating. Singing. Crying. Working. With them. Alongside them. As one of them.
Not standing on a podium. Not telling them what to do, how to live, but showing them.
If you would like to contact me please feel free to send me an email and I will respond as soon as possible!

Getting Back Into Base Life
Things are a little different then I remember them around here at Twin Oaks Ranch, but I think that most of that is because of me. When I first lived here I was a new Christian, a new traveller and a brand new person. Looking back everything seemed perfect and exciting, with tons of friendly faces and adventures. This time around it's a completely different situation, and is going to take some getting used to.
Not that any of this is bad, on the contrary I'm excited that it's not what I was expecting. Being out of my element is never my favorite, but I find that I grow and learn the most when the situation I'm stepping into is not one that I've faced before.
I've only been working for a few days now, and really loving my new job. After unpacking last night, I remembered that I would have to pack half of it back up again on Friday night, as I fly out Saturday morning. Grand Rapids here I come!
Can't wait to see all of my lovely friends, and my best friend as she walks down the aisle!
